Stretching For Daily Life

Won’t you like a stress relief massage to end your day before lunging into the bed! I know definitely you want one. Stretching should be part of every strenuous physical activity schedule. It is not like yoga, stretching aims at only aligning body by working upon about 602 muscles ensuring smooth movement of the joints. Stretching in daily life can be enjoyed every where without any special equipments. Methodical stretching can become part of your lifestyle. Stretching makes you feel the pull of muscles upon bones. Is a separate Stretching Session mandatory

Stretching not only affects your muscles but also your neurological system. Stretching lengthens some muscles and relaxes some and this is sensed by your brain and it regulates heart rate and blood pressure automatically. It stimulates hormonal secretion helping insulin control, metabolic and emotion control. It is myth that a stretching session should be a part of warm up session before undertaking any sports activity as it helps to improve only blood circulation. If you are still not convinced that a dedicated session of stretching is not required, then,  look at the benefits that you can reap by a dedicated stretching session,

  • Smoothen motor movement by improving flexibility and mobility

Am I Stretching Correct?

Pain free body is one which is wanted by everyone. People opt for different methods to have a pain free physique. Some go for massage, hot water bath but stretching is an exercise which is the most simplest of all. This requires minimum effort but pays rich dividends. Don not bounce while stretching and know your body limitations and respect it, as over stretching can be harmful. Once you reach the tension barrier while stretching, a good elongation will make you feel the effect of giving away of the barrier.  Stretch movements should be gentle, slow and smooth but rhythmic. Generally, the movements should always be slow and smooth but as rhythmic as possible.

Breathing is integral part of stretching exercises and rich dividend is earned when breathing is done into stretching. It is a general tendency to hold breath while stretching as most of us concentrate in counting. Instead hold stretched positions in terms of breath cycles would help you to integrate both breathing and stretching appropriately. Deep breathing eases you for further stretching without stain and gives a relaxed sensation. Stability is an important factor while undertaking stretching exercises so that the effect of stretching could be focused on the correct muscle or body part. Flexibility of individuals varies as per the body condition and practice, hence comparing with others would do harm than motivation. There is nothing called right time for stretching as it can be integrated into your lifestyle at any time. Stretching exercises can be included after long period in front of computer, a five minute session after long drive, early in the morning or just before bed.
